Estrada Web Technology, a leading Internet solutions provider, announced today that Saint Leo University has selected the Estrada® Web development and management solution to completely redesign and power its new Web sites. Saint Leo will use Estrada to redesign and re-engineer its entire Internet site, including sophisticated personalization technologies that will create a unique, highly customized and user-friendly experience for each individual Web visitor.

Saint Leo is the third largest provider of online higher education in the world and the sixth leading provider of higher education to the U.S. military. The university also plans to use Estrada’s Academic Extension Suite to integrate multiple data systems and technologies at its many locations into one seamless online system, manage its online applications and forms, and develop online discussion groups for alumni and students.

“We’re also looking into using Estrada for or connecting it with portal capability,” said Saint Leo’s Chief Information Officer Steve Burrell. “Estrada will provide the core for us to create a single sign-on platform that will offer seamless integration with other services, such as the library, online registration system, email, and other systems that are currently disparate.”

With Estrada, Saint Leo’s staff, regardless of skill level or location, can directly yet securely contribute to, and collaborate on, designated areas of the Web site. Granting direct, yet centrally supervised control over their own Web content to the people and departments that generate the information accelerates Web publishing, speeds Return on Investment, and promotes frequent updates to Web information.

Saint Leo’s Interim Director of Public Relations Jacqui Cash said, “We’re looking forward to using Estrada to put access for Web content into the hands of select employees throughout our many departments and locations. A Fall 2003 rollout for the new site is planned, with ongoing enhancements and expansion throughout the 2003-2004 academic year. Estrada’s proven implementation record is among the fastest in the industry.
