Estrada Now Available through NIH ECS III Contract
February 21, 2003
Estrada Web Technology today announced that its innovative Web content management and development solutions and services are now available to the entire federal government and authorized government contractors through the National Institutes of Health Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC) Electronic Commodity Store III (ECS III). ECS III is a government-wide acquisition contract open to all federal agencies, government contractors and other organizations authorized by statute or regulation to use federal vehicles as a source of IT supplies.
The arrangement is made possible through Estrada’s new business partnership with AVR Enterprises, Inc, a certified 8(a) Corporation.
Estrada Web Technology is fast becoming the federal government’s Web management system of choice in part because it provides a proactive solution for efficiently managing compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act Amendments of 1998, requiring all federal Web sites to be accessible to people with disabilities. Estrada provides preventative compliance measures that enable Web developers to set up parameters that meet all Section 508 specifications before the site is built, in addition to managing ongoing accessibility issues. As federal regulations and clients’ needs change in the future, Estrada also makes it easy to update or redesign Web sites.
"Estrada today further strengthens its role as a trusted partner to the federal government," said Shannon Lavett, director of marketing and sales for Estrada. "Estrada’s addition to a broadly accessible contract vehicle like ECS III enables us to better serve the needs of our federal government customers."
Scott Goldberg, AVR’s program manager for ECS III stated, “The AVR Enterprises and Estrada Web Technology partnership enables federal government webmasters to acquire powerful Estrada tools via ESC III’s simple procurement process. This partnership also supports the NITAAC vision of helping the federal government meet Section 508 compliance criteria.”
Estrada is also available through the Procurement of Computer Hardware and Software (PCHS) Contract No. V101(93)P-1600 for the Veterans Affairs Administration and other federal agencies.
